thanks for your answered.

so i must send information about power is 1300W or more then? how about power consumption?

regards,

Hi all,

i read datasheet Checkpoint 16000. i want send information for team data center about power but i confused about power supply

1. what the meaning from "single power suppy rating : 1300 W"

2. why single power supply rating different with the power consumption.

thanks.

reff:

https://www.checkpoint.com/downloads/products/16000-security-gateway-datasheet.pdf

It means if you only have one power supply installed in the appliance, it draws 1300 watts.
A second power supply will draw more power.
I don't think it draws another 1300 watts, necessarily, but it's definitely non-zero.

The 1300 watts refers to what the power supply is rated for.
A couple bullets down from that on the datasheet is the power consumption with one power supply in a base configuration.
In a footnote, there is also the max power consumption when fully loaded (including two power supplies).
