Snapshots are a copy of your root partition. If it is too large, you should investigate what's on the root partition and remove anything that's not necessary. Common culprits are the last snapshot that someone exported to /home/admin/, which was left in there and then included in the next snapshot.

Hi community,

I recently upgraded the firewall from R80.40 Jumbo hotfix take 211 to R81.20 Jumbo hotfix take 99. I noticed that the snapshot size taken in R81.20 is more than double as compared to R80.40. R81.20 snapshot is about 32Gb while R80.40 snapshot is about 14Gb. It has prevented me from exporting snapshot. Is there a way to shrink snapshot size?

I read online that i need to free up space in /var/log, but i already deleted the entire CPda repo folder and i still does not have enough free space required to export snapshot.

Regards,
