topic Custom SNMP Database Sync fail in Firewall and Security Management

Hi folks,

Recently our management servers were unable to synchronize their databases. We didnt however get any traps from this. The only way we figured out there were problems was from the checkpoint gui. This could have some grave consequences in case a failover would accour and the policy was pushed from the node that was running on the old database. Now i know checkpoin can do custom SNMP traps. Can anyone help me out setting up the snmp string?

If there's a CLI command or script that you can use to periodically check the status, then you can potentially use that as a way to trigger a trap.
