Hello Everyone, what is the standard or process of allowing non standard ports for URL filtering on Checkpoint firewalls, lets says we have allowed ports http and https as a standard on the main rule for URL filtering blade, what would be the process to allow any ports like 8080 or 8443 etc.

Is it just a case of allowing the additional ports on the existing rule for URL filtering and if if its yes what other measures are required.

I am aware that we can do https inspection for non standard ports.

Thanks.

SK

The exact process will depend on your policy layout / structure but the traffic must match a configured rule.

Manage & Settings > Blades > Application Control & URL Filtering > General.
