Strange issues with SNMP Uptime randomly not responding.

HI there

Got a strange one - SNMP Uptime occationally does not work for our LogicMonitor SNMP Event Monitor software.

All other SNMP traps come back fine.

The Curious thing is that the system is obviously not offline, and it is just the uptime query that is not responding. When it does respond the the Uptime is correct.

Restarting the SNMP demon does nothing. Eventually it seems to fix itself on its own at about 04:00 in the morning

Is there anything I can check or do to get more information? Im struggling to find any sort of SNMP demon Logs / or elg file or similar?

Before this maybe make tcpdump and filter out the SNMP traffic when the issue is active.

You can check in Logicmonitor what OID uptime is. Search in the Wireshak capture for this OID.

If you see traffic reaching the firewall with the uptime OID you are sure there is no problem on Logicmonitor or something in between.
