      <title>Reset Interface Counters</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Is there a way to reset interface counters without rebooting the gateway or unloading/reloading the NIC device driver?&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;The document sk61500 outlined a procedure but no longer exists publicly, though I recall a step outlined in this SK included reloading the NIC device driver.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;We have a requirement to perform a counter reset but need to avoid any outage.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You don't need to completely unload the driver which will cause an outage on all interfaces using that driver type, you can use ifdown/ifup from expert mode for an individual interface.&amp;nbsp; See this page from my &lt;A href="http://www.maxpowerfirewalls.com/gw-optimization-course.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;Gateway Performance Optimization Course&lt;/A&gt;:&lt;/P&gt;
