Happy New Year everyone!

I wanted to show what I see is new and improved HCP test in R81.20 code. Thanks a bunch to @Ilya_Yusupov for pointing this out in another post. I ran it in my lab and really love the view and how easy it is to parse through the results. Yes, search is still under construction, but personally, I dont even think its needed.

All you do is run hcp -r all as you normally would from expert mode and then once done, open https://gateway_ip:portnumber/hcp, so in my case I went to https://172.16.10.205:4434/hcp and below is page you get.

Enjoy!

Hey there,

is it by some means possible get reports over a longer period of time? I'd be especially interested in those on cpu-spikes. There's lots of logs but the report only analyzes 3 hours.

Kind regrads

Thanks for the info @the_rock. Does the performance of the gateway is affected when HCP is launched?

Regards

Thanks @G_W_Albrecht, That's not what I'm looking for.
If you're fishing for (rather) small events, swimming around in a huge pot of time HCPs "WhatsTheStory" is very handy. Unfortunately the logs from Spike detective are a.) not in WTS I think and b.) HCP is only looking an the spiekes of the last 3 hours.
What I think is interesting is a kind of quasi statistical overview on how frequent an how long those spiekes are. I wrote a quick an dirty Pypthon script that does the trick but without corellation to Cluster state an such things fron WTS.

Kind regards

z.

There have been a lot of spike detective bash scripts over the years 😉 But i see your point, whats the story is much more handy! Maybe @PhoneBoy could point some HCP contact this post.
