Morning.

We have a customer who is deploying several gateway clusters built on Dell PE R750 servers, each server has 14 NIC's consisting of 8 x copper and 6 x fibre.

When installing GAIA it seems to randomly assign the interface names (eth0...eth13) and it's inconsistent across each sever, for example on one server the first fibre port is given eth4 and on another it's given eth7. The slots are all populated identically, in fact the servers are identical in every way.

Is there any way of changing/controlling/determining which interfaces are given which name?
