"fw_span_port_mode" value shows "false"

Currently I am setting up a firewall as a Standalone and in Monitor Mode.

I am follow this link to setting it up:

But until the last step mentioning to check the "fw_span_port_mode", the value it shows is "false". If following the guide it says the value should be showing "true".

Anyone have any idea on this?

Did you do step 2 correctly ? If monitor mode is enabled on the IF fw_span_port_mode should be true.

Configure the Monitor Mode on the applicable interface

Yes, I did the step 2 correctly. I even redo the whole setup but still the value showing is "false".

What if I change the value in the file to "true" manually?

Is it okay to do so?
