Convert a two standalone GWs to a Cluster

Hello,

just going to be brief with my description but I have a customer that currently has an AWS deployment but instead of the conventional cluster its two standalone gateways with a router in both availability zones that help failover traffic. been told it was set up like this because at the time a geo cluster deployment wasn't possible.

now the customer has asked to bring these two standalone gateways into a cluster. my question is can i make changes to the existing and convert it into a cluster or would it be better to deploy a cluster from a template instead?

any help / guidance would be appreciated.

Based on the limited information available, deploy new and move traffic across.
