      <description>&lt;P&gt;You have the logging settings above (syslog) or snmptrap / snmp poll as initial triggers.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Subsequent "Alerts" would then be based on what your external NMS or SmartView Monitor / SmartEvent allows in terms of thresholds etc.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Will have to come back to you on the latter as am currently away from my lab environment for the next little while.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
