Hi all

Im trying to install gaia on open server "lenovo computer, Intel i3, 4gb ram HD 500gb, 2 network interface.

Using pendrive bootable by isoMorphic

During the installation I get this:

Any ideas to solve?

If the hardware in question is not on the HCL, it’s not supported to install Gaia.
Further, 4GB of RAM is barely enough to install a gateway and definitely not enough for a standalone system (gateway + management) or management.
More RAM is recommended even if you have supported hardware.

Just for study porposes. If I buy computer parts, like MB, Proccessor, Memory, Storage, network interfaces and mount a computer I cant install gaia ?

For study purposes, use your own VMware lab or even better, our virtual labs available for you as part of CP4B

Specifically, look into Network Security series and to this article for the virtual labs

If you can make it work on unsupported hardware, more power to you.
However, we only support installation on specific hardware.
If the hardware supports VMware ESXi, that is certainly an option since you can install into a VM.
Regardless, you will need more than 4GB of RAM.

Or you can use the options Val provided.
