I need to set up a recommended version on the checkpoint 6600 appliance (deployment mode: standalone deployment), please let me know the recommended version to set up (the currently installed version is R80.30).

Our recommended release for most deployments is always documented here: https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk95746&partition=Basic&product=Other
As of this writing, it's R81.10.

Agree 100% with @PhoneBoy . R81.10 jumbo 81 seems super stable. We recommend it to every CP customer and so far, not a single issue.

No problem! I saw there was an issue with jumbo 87 that just came out with VPN, so maybe stick with jumbo 81 for now, if you will upgrade to R81.10, as thats recommended jumbo anyway.
