Encrypted Backup files?

Hello,

I was wondering if there is any support for file encryption on system backups from GAIA enterprise gateways? I noticed that for any backup or scheduled backup via CLI or GUI, I can't find where file encryption was possible.

Searching support center, i see this SK about encrypted backups for GAIA Embedded GWs but nothing for the standard ones.

Just curious if this is possible and if not, is there any history that can be shared on to 'why' it was either removed or not supported?

I dont recall that ever existed on regular Gaia. I heard through the grapevines it might be available in R81.20, but who knows, I guess we will have to see 🙂

The option appears to remain for R81.10.xx versions of GAiA embedded:

Not aware of a similar option in GAiA's backup command, please discuss it as an RFE with your local CP SE if it's important for you.
