upgrade R80.10 to R81.10 in HA cluster

Hello All,

We have 2 5900 Security gateway and 1 smart 1-405 and need to upgrade to R80.10 to R81.10. and we have checked upgrade path and it was showing R80.10 >> R80.40 >> R81.10. So, can we do this on one maintenance window.

Request everyone please help me for this.

Also, what is correct procedure to upgrade all 3 devices.

Start with the SmartCenter, you do not need a maintenance window for that. For GWs, depending on how big is the window you are having, it may be doable as well.

For the specific path, refer to upgrade guides of the corresponding versions.

@_Val_ can you please elaborate the same. which devices need to upgrade first. Why we do not need any maintenance window to upgrade all devices.

and also as we have check upgrade path is below.

R80.10 >> R80.40 >> R81.10

can we follow the upgrade path or can we directly upgrade to R81.10.

As I mentioned, you always need to start with the management. This usually does not require maintenance window because you do not stop security GWs, they keep working.

The path you presented is correct, you do have to upgrade to R80.40 first.
