topic Open Server sizing in Firewall and Security Management

Hi, All

I'd like to know how can I sizing or estimate the performance metrics (maximum throughput, maximum concurrent sessions, and so on) using a Open Server? Ex: I'll use a Dell Server with Gaia 80.40, and I'd like to estimate what is the best performance that I can achieve with them.

With best regards.

Valter Junior

You would need to compare the hardware specifications to the datasheet of a Check Point appliance, where we publish the number of CPU cores and RAM.

Unless using VMware the hardware must also meet our HCL to be supported.

If this is an existing deployment please review the trends of your monitoring metrics and extrapolate those.

I would say have at least 16 GB of ram and 500 GB hdd. Also, not a bad idea to have 4 cpu's min either.
