Monitor device status from network monitoring system

Hi all,

I would like to monitor the status of our gateway appliances from our network monitoring system. What I would like is to have soething similar to the green tick / red cross "Status" column that displays in SmartConsole. Can this be done using SNMP or some other method? I realise we can get other stats but I can't see anything that would indicate, for example, SIC not established.

Take a look at the MIB, you should find entries for OIDs such as: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2620.1.1.12

fwSICTrustState OBJECT-TYPE
              SYNTAX  Unsigned32
              MAX-ACCESS read-only
              STATUS  current
              DESCRIPTION
                      "SIC Trust State : Possible values include:
                                            Not initialized 0 
                                            Initialized but not established 1
                                            Established 2
                                            Error 3
                                            Unknown 4"
