The snapshot process hangs

We are in the process of forming a snapshot. In WebUI, we see that the process hangs at 30% and has not moved for many days.
How do we kill the snapshot process? What is the command to stop the snapshot formation?
Rebooting the server didn't help.

ps auxw should show the process to kill

We still have the snapshot process weighing in at 30%.
We can see that
# ps aux | grep snapshot
admin 17270 0.0 0.0 1812 492 pts/3 R+ 13:39 0:00 grep snapshot
If we type kill - TERM 17270, can that stop the snapshot formation process?

Yo - but you have to do more after this, see sk100403: Gaia OS backup or snapshot fails with "There is already another backup process running"

Unfortunately killing the process did not help, the PID changes after killing the past.
