Hello all,
According to our tests, IPv4 addresses are still needed on cluster interfaces when using ClusterXL HA mode, although this is not explicitly mentioned in the documentation. There is only one note in the documentation that cluster failover is based on IPv4 probing.

https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81.10/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81.10_ClusterXL_AdminGuide/Topics-CXLG/ClusterXL-Requirements-and-Compatibility.htm#IPv6_Support_for_ClusterXL

Do you have any information about when an IPv6 cluster without IPv4 addresses on interfaces will be supported? Is it planned?

Thank you in advance.

BR,

Zdenek

There are several things in the product that still require IPv4 to be present (SIC, among other things).
As such, IPv4 addresses are still required on gateways and management.
I don't know what the specific timeframe is to allow purely IPv6 configurations.
If you require this, I recommend contacting your local Check Point office.
