      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had the same problem, IPS was reporting not working, but in the logs I had seen IPS stuff....&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(somehow cosmetic problem)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From the opened case they recommended the below (that fix it for us):&lt;/P&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;TABLE border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"&gt;&lt;TBODY&gt;&lt;TR&gt;&lt;TD&gt;&lt;P&gt;Please find the action plan below -&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;1) Restart "FWD process"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;stop: # cpwd_admin stop -name FWD -path "$FWDIR/bin/fw" -command "fw kill fwd"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;start: # cpwd_admin start -name FWD -path "$FWDIR/bin/fw" -command "fwd"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;2) Install Policy&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/TD&gt;&lt;/TR&gt;&lt;/TBODY&gt;&lt;/TABLE&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I can look for the TAC email and attach it here, if needed.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I had this issue with customer once and we just ran ips off and ips on from ssh and worked fine afterwards. Cant recall exact version, but was definitely R80.xx flavour.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;IPs off | IPS on used to do the trick... But restarting the FWD process was my only solution as of late. Thanks for the tip.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
