      <description>&lt;P&gt;I assume you’re talking about a locally managed appliance?&lt;BR /&gt;As far as I know, log retention is based on available storage space and there isn’t a way to tune it.&lt;BR /&gt;Why do you think purging off logs will improve performance?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;There is a very simple way to achieve that: Define a cron job that issues a reboot ! Use&amp;nbsp;/var/spool/cron/crontabs/root and add a new line there like:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;EM&gt;0 0 1 * 0 shutdown -r -t secs 10080 time now&amp;amp;&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;This example will reboot every first day of the month at 0 hour and - as a side effect - clear the logs on the SMB&amp;nbsp;8)&lt;/img&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
