Gateway starts with defaultpolicy after installing Jumbo Hotfix on R80.40

Hi,

Has anyone else seen a problem with gateways that go for a default policy after the reboot that is part of the Jumbo Hotfix installation on R80.40 gateways?

We have 1 customer that has it on most of their gateways. Which makes installing Jumbo hotfixes a huge issue all of a sudden. And today we had another customer with a different appliance but the same issue.

We have started a SR for th first customer and will start another one for the new customer.

If anyone else has seen it as well please chime in so we can compare notes.

While that’s normal for a version upgrade, that definitely shouldn’t happen for a JHF install.

Do you have custom threat / IOC feeds? We've experienced the same across several sites and this is the common factor.

If you do a fw fetch the gateway will work fine until the next reboot, when it reverts back to InitialPolicy. Permanent fix for us is to do fw fetch followed by policy install from SMS.

Not sure what version you are on, but worked with someone who had exact same problem on R80.40, we upgraded to R81.10 and it never reappeared again.
