Hi,

Can i downgrade my checkpoint 3200 from R80.30 to R77.30 ?

It appears that R77.30 supports the 3200.
I believe you can choose to install R77.30 from CPUSE, if not you can do a fresh install with this ISO: https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?action=portlets.DCFileAction&eventSubmit_doGetdcdetails=&fileid=54340
(Note that downgrading a gateway from R80.40 requires a fresh install from ISO).

Of course all of this begs the question of why seeing as R77.30 has been End of Support for almost two years now.

Thank you very much for response.

We have a client insisting to downgrade it as all of their GWs are on R77.30

We are still trying to convince them against it 🙂

Downgrading? Um, probably not a best idea...I get when customers have issues, but every vendor advised against it.

Downgrading to a completely unsupported release is ill advised.

Phoneboy is right in all he said. Besides, I dont see any scenario where someone in TAC would help you with R77.30...its been unsupported for more than 2 years now.
