The mechanism in sk92823 refers to the legacy Geo Filtering functionality.
If you are using the Updatable Objects, it uses that mechanism instead, which is different.
This SK might help you confirm: https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk121877

R80.40 Geo Policy update

According to sk126172 all you need to do to use Geo filtering (in r80.40) is to create an access rule with the relevant Updatable Objects.

sk92823 states that there should be a geod process and geo_location_version.txt file. I have none of that.

So Im a little confused. How Geo location database update works in r80.40?

Thanks!
