Does anybody happen to know why SCTP has issues whilst being accelerated. To be more exact - session idle counter does not seem to work when SCTP is being accelerated so after establishing session, it will start dropping traffic after session idle timer counts down even though there's continuous ongoing traffic. I.e. in our case we use default 1hr timer so session works for 1hr and then gets dropped.

If we disable SCTP acceleration as per sk114957 then all works fine.

We are on latest jumbo R80.30 T226

SCTP is dropped "out of state" as per screenshot below

That sounds like a bug.
I assume you have a TAC case open?

Indeed, the TAC case is open, not a lot of progress there I'm afraid. But the fact that there is SK how to turn off SCTP acceleration leads me to think that it's a "known problem"

I just wondered if CP was willing to release more details around the challenges with SCTP 🙂

I am also facing the same issue. Did you get any solution to this besides disabling the SCTP acceleration?

Apologies it too a while to get back - we are still running with SCTP accel OFF even in R80.40. Haven't had time to re-visit this one 😞
