When you have an appliance which has interface modules such like 15600:

eth1-01 is then first port of first interface module and so on.

Hello everyone!

I got a simple question... can someone please explain what is the reason for having a " - " signal on a interface? I'm reading a configuration and noticed that several interfaces are configured this way:

set interface eth1-01 state on
set interface eth2-01 state on
set interface eth2-05 state on
set interface eth2-06 state on

What does that actually mean and what makes it different comparing to simple interfaces like eth1, eth1.100 (VLAN), bond1, etc?
