Hi,

Can the firewall distinguish between Apple IOS mobile connections and those connections initiated by a browser/PC/MAC? I'd like to apply slightly different policies depending on the type of device connecting...

yes it can, see Content Blade 🙂 also AppControl has such settings, dig them out from AdminGuide!

Thanks for the pointers. I've read through the admin guides and had a dig around in SmartConsole in demo mode but can't find any way to detect traffic based on the users O/S. Have you done this yourself before? Do you have any other pointers on what I need to do or look for?

please search for "Content Awareness Admin Guide" as well as Application Control one.

ps. Yes I have done this myself but unfortunately I do not have access to that "blade" settings any longer hence I cannot even post a screenshot how I've done this sorry 😞
