The COM port should appear when you have the cable attached and the appliance powered on. If it doesn't, then there might be a hardware fault with the appliance.

Hello all,

I am a bit confused about the use of USB connectivity to 9100P.

The relevant software provided by CP has been donloaded and is installed. But no COM port at the system level. So, how to use it ?

Thanks,

USB ports are not for console access, they are for reimaging the appliance with a USB drive.
The console port is an RJ-45 connection using a rollover cable.
Refer to: https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Appliances/GSG_9000/EN/Content/Topics-GSG-9000/Appliances-Hardware.htm?tocpath=9000%20Appliances%20Hardware%7C_____0#Front_Panel
