We're rolling out Take 60 on all devices for now, mainly because we've received a few private hotfixes bundled into a wrapper for T60 and I don't feel like constantly requesting port fixes.
And also because we don't always need to have the latest take.

I just installed it in the lab, though does not appear there is an official documentation for it as of yet. Looks like it was released February 16th.

I know, and I am well aware of how annoying it is to constantly wait for private hotfixes to be integrated into the main train.

I had such bad experience once with customer that needed private fix on top of their existing jumbo, fixed original issue, but then 3 other issues happened. After that, I never recomended anyone install those, better to wait until they are part of an official jumbo take.

We never really liked private hotfixes at my previous positions, either. For example, we once had the case where we received a private hotfix, and at the time when we had to uninstall it for an upgrade to a new major version, the gateway came up after the uninstallation with the default filter, not with the initial policy —you should know what the difference is. And now, at my current company, the private hotfixes which are written for us, and we also test them, so we can use them relatively safely.

Yes, I know the difference very well. Had that experience with poor guy once during Covid-19 pandemic. Saving grace was he lived 10 mins from the hospital, so was able to take his young son with him late at nigh and console into the box to remove that policy, otherwise, it would have been a huge challenge.
