Skyline configuration where Prometheus is pulling the data from Checkpoint

I know that /opt/CPotelcol/REST.py --set_open_telemetry pushes data from Check Point CPview and forwards it to open-source tools Prometheus & Grafana.

I'm facing a challenge where my colleagues managing Prometheus are against this Idea,

They want to pull the data from the checkpoint gateways.

Is there any one of you guys who did such configuration.

To the best of my knowledge, this is currently not possible.
I believe we are looking at this for the future, though.
