topic GWLB Autoscaling instances using SNMP for monitoring in Cloud Firewall

Hi,

We are using launch templates to configure the gateways when they spin up. We are looking to add snmp configuration to the instances as they spin up, snmpv3 user and passwords, restricted to whitelist of ips.

Previously in the launch confiugraiton you could modify the asg_userdata.sh and add commands to it. The new launch template way uses asg_userdata.yml instead. I was trying to understand how we can either pass the commands for the shell via the userdata file or if there was another way to do it.

Thanks

Jeff Scott

Hi,

to add GAIA configuration to new deployed GW's in Autoscale you can use the '-cg' flag in the CME to run a script with all the CLISH commands you want to run.

https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/IaaS/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_CME/Content/Topics-CME/CME_Structure_and_Configurations.htm?Highlight=-cg
