Hi Guys,

Our customer has a cluster in CloudGuard Network High Availability for Azure. They are planning to upgrade from R80.40 to R81.20.

In previous versions there was no opportunity to do an In-Place upgrade. According to the CloudGuard Network for Azure High Availability Cluster Deployment Guide now In-Place upgrade is available, it refers to sk177714. As it seems more convenient then the old method we are planning to go with the In-Place upgrade.

My question is: What would be the easiest and fastest rollback method if something goes wrong? As I heard from our customer, there is an Azure Snapshot possibility but I don't have experience with it. What are your thoughts, recommendations?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Zsolt

The typical process via CPUSE usually involves a recovery point.

Note only Check Point backup / snapshot / recovery options are officially supported. Suggest doing this prior and moving off box for safe keeping.

If I remember correctly, I did read somewhere that after upgrade to R81.20 it is irreversible.

So to take the snapshot from the Cloud provide might be a good option.
