Hello,

Question What happens when you exceed license quota available in your Cloudguard license pool?

Will we have some loss of functionality if we scale out and overuse our quota? (Yes, i know we should not let this happen)

R80.40 Documentation says:

"CloudGuard licenses are attached from the license pool to CloudGuard Gateway.

The distribution procedure is permissive. Gateways will be issued a license even when the pool no longer has licenses available."

Thank you

Hi,

As it says , your new Gateway will get a license even if you passed your quota.

In the license status information via "vsec_lic_cli" you will see that you are missing the amount of cores added on the new Gateway.

So there are no penalties or functionality reduction if you go negative? I am asking this from risk management perspective.
