URL Filtering Policy

Hello, Checkmates!

I've read a sk106623 about how to URL categories and so on.

But in the 3-rd paragraph there is an example of URL :

\/example\.com
\.example\.com

So the question is How these 2 lines differ from each other?

Does that mean that I have to add 2 lines for each website, which I want to add to the category?

(F.e. \/google\.com AND \.google\.com)

Can you please provide a good example of creating a URL category?

Thank you a lot!

\/example\.com matches http://example.com only

\.example\.com matches www.example.com, something.example.com

Try it here Online regex tester and debugger: PHP, PCRE, Python, Golang and JavaScript  or RegExr: Learn, Build, & Test RegEx
