I have a customer that is requiring (or strongly recommending) the use of cloudformation templates for any deployment.  Obviously there is one for management, but I don't want any management functionality on this box other than for SmartEvent.  Does anyone have or recall seeing one for a SmartEvent-only server?

I'm not sure if anyone have seen this, but building AWS vSEC cluster today, I am seeing this: Nope, it was not defined manually.   Additionally, when failing over from active to standby members, secondary IPs are no longer moving to the new active member:   5 minutes later:     It may be a coincident, but the Check Point SE working on… (Show more)

Hello! I have a question about Checkpoint vSEC. As i understand, there are several products in this category: 1) virtual security gateway for cloud services - Azure, and so on 2) virtual security gateway for NSX 3) virtual security gateway which can be deployed as a virtual machine, on ESXI for example. I can't find datasheet for last one For… (Show more)

Hi Gang I deployed an Azure Vsec Cluster and followed the SKs etc and it's and running fine. I'm starting to build out the policy and have run up against a problem.   Normally I would have the stealth rule as the 2nd or third rule, but when I try to allow nated traffic through to resources on the inside, it is getting dropped by the stealth rule… (Show more)

AWS requires introduction of secondary IP addresses and EIPs associated with them in order to access servers behind vSEC. Once address is created and the EIP assigned, the traffic seem to flow through the vSEC, My question is this: Should the secondary IP be defined as an alias for the external interface of the vSEC?

Is anyone running 80.10 vSEC gateway on VMware in their datacenter (private cloud)?   Our virtualization team is pushing it.  Why or why not?      Raw iron in the datacenter,  vSEC, VMware, and/or  NSX?     From reseller: This is list price/core.  Very similar to NSX.  You need NSX to run this though.  You can implement it without NSX, but its… (Show more)
